Thanks for your information. This Marion and Mary S. Dean are my g-grandparents.Also, the Robert Easley is Mary's father and her family.I have just returned from Greensburg Library in St. Helena Parish, LA., and found a wealth of informtion on the Easley family.I have been searching for my g-grandmother Mary S. Easley Dean's family for many years. The wife listed in the census you have provided is actually her step mother and those are her half siblings.I always felt that they were connected to my Deans but could not prove it until I made that little journey to the genealogy dept. of the library in LA.
I was able to take the Easley family back to 1650 in England as a result of some fine work done by other researchers and placed in the library for others to have access too.I am very greatful for those folks.
I am, however, still searching for this Marion Dean's father, William Riley Dean, and his parents.I do know that William Riley was born in SC, was in Dale Co., AL in 1850, and was on the Pike Co., MS census in 1870.He lived in LA at some point in time between 1850 and 1870.Marion's full name is William Marion Dean and he was born in TX.Just can't locate William Riley in LA.Should you run across that fellow, I certainly would appreciate a contact. Thanks again for your information.I had not yet found William Marion on this census yet.
