To anyone living in the Hammond area with elderly relatives that might remember this: My Grandfather Ora Cook died in July of 1927 when he fell from a scaffold while working for the Illinois Central RR. He was survived by his wife Mamie and 5 young children, son Ora, son Charles, son Roy Lee, daughter Helen Louise, and daughter Marie Violet. Would appreciate any info.
