I have a Francois Faucheux b. WFT Est. 1694-1737, d. WFT Est. 1735-1818
m. WFT Est. 1718-1766
Marie Bosse b. WFT Est. 1701-1740, d. WFT Est. 1735-1824
I know that Francois was a French man, but I don't know where he came from, but I do know that either he and/or his descendants ended up in Louisiana. I know the Faucheux's came from France, but who and when is of what I am unsure. On the passenger list that I found in a book lists a Laurent Laurent from Landoire, France but they had a three month layover in La Rochelle, France. I have the name of his wife, but he didn't get married until he came to the port of Mobile area and stayed at Fort Toulouse in what at the time was known as the LA territory, but it is Alabama today.
I asked my mom over Thanksgiving what the Trepagniers said, but she told me that they havn't gotten back to her yet. Aparently they are looking into the matter of hunting down the person who might be responsible for the family bible if there is one. Someone had suggested that if there had been one, I think there might have been a house fire and it may have been damaged or destroyed. We will have to wait for more information. I was hoping to get to you with something more than that. That is why everything seems to be taking so long. I am sorry for the delay, but if there is anything else that and the book, I'll be going back to Louisiana over Christmas and I can try to find something then.
