I saw your message asking for info about Joseph Baumann. I am also researching N.O. Baumanns (my g-g-grandparents). I copied the following message from another board that may be of interest to you:

Unfortunately, no. The only Baumanns I have are Joseph (who immigrated from Germany, probably born in 1830s), his wife Louisa Kuntz Eckerle Baumann, and their children Antointte Josephine, Elizabeth, Louise, and William. I wish there was some connection--and there still might be--but I don't know what it is. Sorry!
