My GF OLIVER ALVIN MORGAN dob 08/12/1847 applied for a Confederate pension in TX. saying he served at Sabine Pass. In checking the La.CV there is an Oliver Morgan listed as Pvt., Co. C, 8th, LA Inf. Enlisted 06/19/1861 at Camp Moore at age 17 & single. Present all roll calls to 08/1864 & was reg. teamster. He is listed in official LA Confederate records, pg. 1051 & in US records. Some soldiers who joined in LA were sent to Sabine Pass and I believe Oliver & Oliver Alvin are one and the same Do you have any other info? I can furnish names from his TX application that he served with and date of TX app. was 06/05/1941 when he was 93. Any info would be appreciate. If I have duplicated this, please excuse.
Thank you.
