Thanks James. I show the same except I show his father's name as Sheldon I Clark. I also show that William's father was Nathaniel but haven't gone past that.

His military papers state that he died in July 1814, so that is probably another Watrous Clark. That was apparently a family name, as I've found several other Watrous Clark's in my searches. There was one I saw in Connecticut census at the same time that my Watrous was shown in a Lousiana census. Do you have info as to where Watrous and Mary Ann White were married?
