Parents of William Crawford Fowler? (3 mar 1852—29 nov 1893), a Hutto Connect?

William Crawford Fowler (WCF) (3 mar 1852—29 nov 1893), married Josephine Amelia Bickham in Caddo Parish, Louisiana on 24 jan 1883. Their 5 children were: Bertie, Effie, Sanders, Marshall Lake, and William C., all born in Caddo Parish. The 1900 US census for the widow, J. A. Fowler, and children indicates that their father was born in Louisiana. With so many William Fowlers in the censuses from 1860-1890 we have been unable to match WCF and where he was in 1842-1882.
Members of my family have not been able to identify the parents of my great grandfather, William Crawford Fowler. They believe he was orphaned at a young age and became associated with a George Hutto and his brother in Caddo Parish Louisiana, subsequently moving with these or other Huttos to land in Texas west of Ft. Worth. Apparently the TX Huttos remained in contact with some of the Fowler children, for at least one grandchild visited the Hutto ranch in TX. George Hutto could be the George W. Hutto who married Eliza Bickham 15 Jan 1872 in Caddo Parish Louisiana, which was part of a posting on the Hutto forum for 31 aug 2008. A Bickham family history (John Dorr Crane, The Southern Bickhams, 1st ed, p 53) has my great grandmother Josephine Amelia Bickham Fowler and Mary Elizabeth Bickham as sisters. George and Mary Elizabeth produced 6 children: Alice, Louise, Ernest, William, Thomas , Eliza.
My appeal is for information that would lead to the parents of William Crawford Fowler and where he was between 1842-1882. Perhaps those interested in the history of Fowlers, Bickhams and Huttos in Louisiana and Texas could assist.
