Voting Results

This may be a silly question, but I was wondering if it is possible to see voting results after a certain number of years? For example, if I wanted to see who my great-grandfather voted for in the 1912 Presidential electon, of if he supported Huey Long in the 1928 election for governor, etc.? I think it would be an interestng thing to know. If it is possible, would I contact the state archives or the local clerk of court?
