During your research, did you happen to see Parish Court Records in which John Freeland had legal action against Theophilus P. Minor? The on-line index from the New Orleans Public Library gives the docket number of 5294, but no other information. I am researching Theophilus and would be interested in knowing what the case was all about. The Parish Court Index covers the period 1813-1835.
