Dear Charlotte,

Ok, back to researching your last post. Yes, John is in the other GEDCOM and in researching your link, I have found our Howell line probably is related sometime before the 1750 timeline. Our line is more closely related to Reddick Howell and Comfort Sullivan. My grandfather John Stephen Howell is either Reddick's son or grandson. Still waiting on documentation to verify. Your Jackson Howell falls within our line from NC/SC or a very close relative. Comfort's brother was named Jackson and there is a Jackson Howell in Alabama that fits your timeline.

The link you gave me runs around the Sumter and Ramer connection. Our line does have a connection to the Howells in GA, I just do not have the documentation yet. My Aunt Frances Howell Martin and Uncle Leslie Howell moved backed to GA upon retirement. So, it's either the Gradys or the Howells.

Make it a great day and nice meeting you. Keep me updated.
