The Plains Cemetery is located on the northwest corner of the Zachary-Scenic Highway intersection. The southern end of the cemetery is for Negro burials.

A list of burials from a 1960 survey can be found in the book THE PLAINS AND THE PROPLE by Virginia Lobdell Jennings, Pelican Publishing Company, 1962
