I know there are various sets of Rapp families that migrated to New Orleans.
One or more of the Rapp families were of German Ancestry who may or may not have came to New Orleans via The Islands.

The other Rapps were Free people of color.

I don't know if the family that migrated from St.Domingue or Santo Domingo were considered White OR Free Colored People.
