Thank you very much for your response and I apologize for the delay in answering - the holidays. lol I do not know anything about JR Bouterie and only stumbled upon them. A cousin was attending a funeral in the same cemetery and took the opportunity to snap pics of familiar names. However, neither of us know who is buried in the tomb. My greatx2 grandfather & some of his family is buried in the same cemetery, different tomb. I so far have only found 2 Bouterie sibs that went to New Orleans in that era - mine and his brother Louis. I know it is not a descendant of Joseph - so Louis seems to be the likely candidate. Of course it is likely it is a descendant of neither. But all the Bouteries are related in some way - whether in the Lafourche area or New Orleans. So the JR Bouterie tomb belongs to us in some way. I have a male child of Louis Bouterie that I have no info on what so ever just date of birth and male. If I could find Louis & Joseph in key census it would help. Thank you so much for taking the time out to respond - it is greatly appreciated I agree it seems, Joseph R to be who is buried there. But I have no idea who Joseph J is a child of.
