I haven't had any luck finding out what the intials stood for, but A.D. and Eliza were still alive in 1880, living in Louisiana Township, Chicot Co., Arkansas. He is a merchant, b. NC, about 1808, both are age 72.

I didn't find anything on www.findagrave.com for either of them, but perhaps you could get in touch with the Chicot Co. Historical Society - they might have something on him.
