Pat: There was certainly more than one Catholic Church in Cameron Parish circa 1890s. You might find this list of interest:

Obviously, you'll need to determine where your people of interest lived during the relevant period, if you don't already know it. Once you have pin-pointed the community THEN you can try to figure out the church they likely attended and see what records are available. Very often these records are still kept by the individual churches although you might want to query the Diocese of Lake Charles as to what they can offer. FYI, marriage records for Cameron Parish go back to 1874 - there is an index covering years 1874-1924 plus the actual marriage books [vol. A-B 1874-1897 and vol C-D, 1897-1924]. You can rent the microfilm records through your local LDS Family History Center. I believe that the index also exists in published book form too but I would have to double check to be sure. Rick
