I have a direct ancestor, Eveline Richardson (or various spellings) who was born in Louisiana around 1823. By 1840 she was newly married and in Caldwell County Kentucky. I've never found her marriage record. Her parents were born in Virginia. Her new husband is a bricklayer and works on the iron furnaces in the area. I can't find her parents. What industry/occupation would have brought a Virginia family to Louisiana in the early 1820's? I've looked through the 1820 and 1830 Richardsons in Louisiana but with nothing to go on, I'm floundering. I've looked for other Richardsons in Kentucky born in Louisiana, thinking she might have had siblings born there too. Nothing. There is another Richardson in nearby Trigg County Kentucky starting in 1830. He is of age to be a very young father for her (or an older brother) and he was born in Virginia, but information in later census records would seem to show that Eveline is NOT his daughter. Any suggestions or pointers?
