A homemaker, a native of Galvez and a resident of Prairieville, she passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, in Gonzales after a brief illness. She was 96. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Monday, Dec. 13, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home Tuesday, Dec. 14, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m., conducted by Pastor Ken Blundell. Interment in Broussard Family Cemetery, Prairieville. She is survived by a son-in-law, Dickie Johnson, of Tickfaw; two grandchildren, Brad Johnson and Britt Johnson and wife Georgie Johnson, all of Tickfaw; numerous loving nieces and nephews, including Earl Broussard and Wayne, Robin and Katrina Broussard; two sisters, Gladys Breaux, of Orlando, Fla., and Mable Hemba, of Prairieville; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Ray Broussard and Isabelle, of Prairieville, and Katie Broussard, of Prairieville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Peter Delaune; parents, John Joseph and Martha Hester Denham Broussard; a daughter, Kathleen Ann "Kathy" Delaune Johnson; three brothers and three sisters. Pallbearers will be Roger Broussard Sr., Roger Broussard Jr., Wayne Broussard, Daryl Tanner, Earl Broussard and Britt Johnson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gonzales SDA Church, 17111 La. 929, Prairieville, LA 70769. Please visit www.oursofh.com to offer condolences to the family.
