According to the Boston Pilot "Missing Persons" column dated Oct 3, 1866, Patrick Mannix's brother William was seeking information of the whereabouts of Patrick and his brother Luke Mannix.
Patrick's home county was given as Cork IRL, parish Brigown and townland Pollardstown, barony of Condon & Clangibbon in the Poor-law town of Mitchelstown. His location after arrival to the US was given as 60 miles from Memphis TN. He he may have gone elsewhere afterwards.
His brother William at that time was residing in New Orleans, Louisiana.
I'm descended from their sister Ellen who emigrated to Australia with her parents Margaret and James and brothers Thomas and John.
Please make contact if you have any info on the above.
