Hi Toni,
I have been posting in LA as I find the surnames of
WEEDEN, WILDON, WILDEN and my research is for my WEEDEN,
WHILDEN, WEELDON/BROWN AA/Native line for which I cannot
find ANY connections.
SCOTT is somehow connected, but my main reason for posting
is to find out abt the given name of PECOLIA/PECOLA, which I find several times w/families who I believe are connected to my line.
I am especially looking for info of my ggrandmother, CHARITY BROWN (WEELDON), mulatto, born 1833 NC, as I find
NO info on Her or Her line.
Have a feeling tho, that some of my SC ancestors may have chosen to pass for white and I shall keep on deadending.
Thanks for responding, TONI.
Hope to hear from you again.
Warm regards,
carol.
