Doug,

Just thought I would let you know that I went on ancestry and found that the John Gray and Caroline Brown marriage was in Baton Rouge, Louisiana which I doubt would be a marriage for the John Gray in this family from Union Parish, Louisiana. I am sure that he would have remarried in Union Parish. The index which was sent to me didn't yeild anything. Back to square one and looking at Lilley from the 1870 Union Parish Census record.
