Crabtree born in Mich & living in Lousiana
Posted by: Bill Jonas (ID *****1356) Date: January 09, 2011 at 13:24:26

I am searching for information on William Ellsworth Crabtree, born May, 1861 in Michigan. He is shown living in Morehouse Parish, Louisiana on the 1900 Federal Census with 3 sons: George (b 1890), John L. (b 1893) and Joseph F. (b 1898). William may have died in Louisiana in Sep 1900? If he died there then, the young children would have been orphaned as I believe his wife Lillia M. Vanikle died there in about 1899 as he was shown as a widower on the 1900 Fed. Census. There is also a widowed house keeper (Annie) living with him who has 2 children at that time. Any help or information will be appreciated. Thanks, Bill Jonas
