Doug,

I need to be quick here...out the door, but wanted you to know that I have found Martha Evada Gray Walkup and Aldolpus Gary's Death certs at

http://beta.familysearch.org/ OR

http://www.familysearch.org/eng/default.asp?page=https://www.familysearch.org/ENG/login/signon.asp

These are both familysearch.org, just the beta.familysearch.org is a newer version (some I like better in one like at familysearch.org...it is more a spread sheet look)

But at beta,familysearch.org it is much easier to cut and past the source information. Looks like many of the doctuments that you can actually view and download are now being put at the beta.familysearch.org.

ALL FREE, but you do have to register and get a passcode and sign in, just like at genforum.

I had to put her on a shelf for a while and help finish my Dad's huge project, a book on his parents which he had been working on since 1973. My daughter and I have scanned pictures and she basically did the editing with help for my sister and I. Now that that is done another project I have been working on for a cousin who is publishing the 3rd and final Volumen of Joseph Taylor, Sr.; Joseph Taylor, Jr. and Sarah Best of North Carollina, Kentucky...anyway I have had to gather all information on my grandmother (Taylor her maiden name) and my grandfather's children and posterity, send it to them. I just finished and sent that off.

So Elizabeth "Bessie" Grey, though she never leaves me thought has had to sit on it a bit....now she is back.

You have been so wonderful and anyone that I am working with hears your praises for you help. Hope you know how much I appreciate everything. I will look into these articles.

I am searching for a death notice now that I have the death certificates for Martha (Mattie) and Aldophus GRAY...that is how they spelled the name, but it appears as Grey on some census records. I also am pretty sure this is her family and that Alex H. Gray is a half-brother, would like to find something on him.

Father, John Grey/Gray was 80 in the 1800 census so probably died before the 1900...can't anything for sure on him...other than a reference to Jno Grey/Gray...which is an abbreviation for John.

I find a 1870 census with him living with a 25 year old woman Lilley and then there are children listed one of which is Alexander...dates fit. Martha, Elizabeth and Adolphus are not born yet.

I can give more details on this informatin later...got to run...THANKS FOR YOUR HELP and for always, always, responding.

My Best,

Debbie
