For what it's worth, you can go to the Biography/Obituary Index provided online by NO Public Library:

http://nutrias.org/~nopl

Click on "City Archives/Special Collections". There are 11 individuals with that surname indexed. You can order copies of the articles for $2 each, instructions are provided. Also, the Louisiana Secretary of State has some vital records online, you can search and obtain copies. There are 9 Orleans Parish marriage records for this surname and 8 Louisiana deaths, 7 of which were in Orleans Parish and 1 in St. Tammany (across Lake Ponchartrain). I found no Baiamonte births for Orleans Parish. NOPL also has a mostly complete set of city directories and will do searches for a modest fee. Rick
