This was the closest (and only) match I could find. The names in the census records were often misspelled, especially if accents were involved. Joseph is the English version of Giuseppe. Based on the immigration record Giuseppe was born aroung 1837, as was Joseph.

1860 Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio census

Joseph Caparina, 23, peddlar, born in Genoa, Italy
