Frank Strohmeier's death date was Oct. 19, 1910, Dubuque, Iowa. Burial was Oct. 21, 1910, Mt. Olivet, Key West, Iowa.
No one knows the marriage date in New Orleans for Catherine and Frank. No one knows the names of Frank's or Catherine's parents, but I have a lead on Frank's parents and location in Germany where they may have come from. Look at the same 1870 Census in New Orleans, with Frank and mother Mary that I found ,with the name looking like STROHMEEK instead of STROHMEIER and compare this information to the 1871 New Orleans City Directory . Look under Frank Strohmeyer and the other Strohmeier/ Strohmeyers listed for this year. You will find Mary Stromeyer, widow of Xaier, at the same address as Frank. (There is more we should talk on the phone.)
Just last week, I requested marriage, baptimal, and obituary records from New Orleans. I also ordered some films from the Family History Center where I live in the Midwest on this location in Germany and the family I believe Frank may belong to while they were in New Orleans.
I can't prove it yet, but when I get some information, I can post it.
Vanita Fennawald Meyer had three sons: !. Lance, Scott, and Garth. Which of these is your sister-in-law connected to? How can we communicate outside of the forum? Do you have any pictures of Francis Strohmeier Fennawald , her parents, her kids, her grandchildren, etc?
