Thank you for the information. As soon as I get a little free time, I will start looking up the info to try and determine if any of these individuals are related to our Elizabeth "Eliza" STEEN Johnson Callis.

I can't access our ancestry tree right now, but I believe Eliza left Louisiana sometime around 1844 after her marriage to Henry Callis. Unfortunately, we do not have any info as to her parents or siblings' names which would have helped to track her ancestry.

Our records indicate that Henry Callis was not born in Louisiana, but it is worth a shot to see if the Callis you reference may be related to him.
