Thank you so much for writing- it has been a long day but I so appreciate all the wonderful kindness and effort. I am so lucky there are people who love a good mystery (just one of the descriptions my family has been called - so far).

Please know (or would that be NOTE?) (now that I re-read my answers) I am not being a smarty pants... I'm trying to be light hearted and in good spirit in what has been frustrating all my life and very confusing to me (note: the more I learn the more confusing it becomes). Please understand everything I say - I say in the nicest possible way with NO malice intended... and please remember I am (almost) totally confused. I hope you will smile with me.

I'm not related to this family. (***this seems to be a "MYSTERY" family! So... are you sure? just kidding)

Where is Panola? ? ? ? Which state? ? ? (***Panola County, Texas. Carthage (TX) area. FYI: There is also Navarro County and Hill County involved as well- Texas Counties. Right now... I'm beginning to question USA- just kidding... well, there is the Irish side....)

Where were all the children born ??? (***part of the mystery. My granny didn't have a birth certificate- although, I remember her trying to get one...and that had to do with getting a SSC, so there could be a birth certificate... somewhere....I just haven't found it yet. Because I don't know what county. I have tried Panola, Navarro, Freestone, Limestone, Hill County, all of them being in TX. No such luck. So far. Yet.

Need birthplaces for all children = STATE (**** umm, me too. Right now... just trying to figure out who the children are.) I won't make a Children of the corn joke.... :-(

You wrote - " They were the parents identified on Mary B. THOMAS' (2 Feb 1861 - 8 Oct 1836) death certificate." Well, it rather hard to die 25 yrs before a person is born!!!!! (****Oh My Gosh- my math is way off... cause I was thinking my Great Grandmother (Mary Williams- (good luck finding HER parents!) would have been... oh, about FIFTY years old when she had my grandmother (Nannie Lucille).

Where is - Nannie Lucille Thomas - in 1930??? (MIA- I don't know but I'm trying to find out.)

Smiles. ;-)
Mary Essie
