Bossier Parish was created in 1843 from Claiborne Parish.

Caddo Parish was created in 1838 from Natchitoches Parish
Caddo Parish, 501 Texas St., Shreveport, LA 71101-5476 Phone: (318) 226-6911 (area code may have changed)
Par Clk has m, div, pro, civ ct, mtg & conveyance rec from 1835

The Department of Health and Human Resources, P. O. Box 60630, New Orleans, LA 70160 has records of births and deaths since 1914. Delayed registration of births since 1939 are also available. To verify current fees call 504-568-5175.
