Alford B. Trammel/Jane Ballard
Posted by: Allan Barlow (ID *****2855) Date: September 10, 2008 at 13:46:42

This couple listed above had, among others, a daughter named Elizabeth, said to have been born in 1835 in Georgia. The family is said to have moved to Sabine Parish, Louisiana. I have a direct ancestor named Elizabeth (Trammel) Hinton. My Elizabeth was born about the same time as Alford and Jane's daughter Elizabeth. My Elizabeth was also from Georgia and had moved with her family to Sabine Parish, Louisiana. My Elizabeth Trammel married James E. Hinton, whose family was also from Georgia. James E. Hinton was a veteran (Pvt. Co. D) of the Battle of Mansfield. This sounds like the very same Elizabeth. I have been looking for her parents and this may be the family I've searched for. Any help is enthusiastically appreciated. Thank you in advance.
