Tauzin's in Louisiana

Is anyone researching Tauzin's in Louisiana? I'm looking for information on my great-grandfather, but the only information I have on him is that my grandmother listed his name on her SS application as Joe Tauzin.

My grandmother (Eunice Ann Tauzin - or possibly Marie Eunice Ann Tauzin) was born in New Iberia in 1907. Her mother was Irma Champeaux.

I have a baptismal certificate for Eunice, but the father is not listed. However, Louis Tauzin was listed as a witness. I sent for a birth certificate, but they didn't have one.

I have a great deal of information on the Tauzins descended from Jean Baptiste Tauzin and Jean Maria Lanbeaux, but I have no idea if this is even the right family or where "Joe" fits into the picture.

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate hearing from you.
