I checked the death certificate index for your Hardaways and found the following:

Texas Death Certificate Index
Gonzales County

Greene Hardaway, died 18 Nov 1939
Josephine Hardaway, 16 Apr 1926
Tillard Hardaway, 5 Oct 1920
Turner Hardaway, 4 Jan 1929
Callie Hardaway, 26 Jan 1919
Laura Lee Hardaway, 2 Aug 1925
Louis Hardaway, 15 Mar 1943
Markalee Hardaway, 27 Jan 1943
Fannie Hardway [sic], 16 Jan 1953
Philip Adam Hardway [sic], 7 Feb 1958
Lena E. Hardaway, 1 Nov 1960
A. T. Hardaway, 8 May 1951

These certificates are probably available from the Texas state health department and, usually, give the names of the deceased's parents. It may be worthwhile to check out a few of these.
