Have you exhausted obits, death certificate, social security?

I tried to look but couldn't make any real matches other than what you already found. Here are possible relations... from LA Death Index... maybe something will spring to you as family lore?

Jessie Starks        2 Mar 1945        1945        Ouachita        0        Negro (Black)
Joe Starks        23 Sep 1943        1914        Ouachita        29        Negro (Black)
John Starks        14 Jul 1930        1903        Ouachita        27        
Mary Starks        15 Mar 1949        1858        Ouachita        91        Negro

I found a potential Charly Starks same county in one census year but they were white....possible, yes.
