Good morning Kristi,

You message was sent to my husband's computer and it was overlooked. His vision is impaired and I no lonter use that E-mail address.

Sometime ago, The Birmingham News announced that the Birmingham Library has the second-best research library in the nation. What I do not have at home, I can generally find at the library.

The Birmingham library also has a subscription to Ancestry.com online and so does the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ask your librarian if a library near you has this subscription. That would be a good place to start.

I own the following:

41 volumes - Southwest Louisiana Records by Rev. Donald J. Hébert (1740-1909); Diocese of Lafayette and 13 civil parishes.

14 volumes of Archdiocese of New Orleans Sacramental Records 1718-1821; more have been published but I stopped
buying when my own family research was complete.

19 volumes of SOUTH Louisiana Records by Fr. Hébert; Lafourche & Terrebonne Parishes.

18 volumes Diocese of Baton Rouge Catholic Church Records; more have been published.

I have additional resources, too numerous to mention, but if you can tell me where you plan to search, I will help you if I can.

I do not charge for doing research; the only time I am conpensated is when an individual asks to buy a copy of my research. My fees are modest and my resources are the best.
