Seek info on the following:
Seeking info re:
Jehu Joseph Cumpsten b 1840 New Orleans, LA, died 1913 New Orleans, LA.
His father is listed as having been born in PA circa 1818 and his mom in VA.
Who are his parents? Grandparents? Country of origin?

Married: Martha Raynal and Margaret McCulloch
Martha Raynal lists her parents places of birth as father Scotland (I suspect France) and mom SC
Who are her parents?

Known Children:
Henry Joseph Cumpsten b 1869 New Orleans married possibly Helen b 1877 probably Eddy, NM
R. (Raynal ?) T. Cumpsten b 1872 New Orleans married possibly Jelenie

Jehu (also known in the military as John Cumstein) served in the 7th Louisiana Infantry Regiment, Company G, Confederate Army. He enlisted as a Private and mustered out as a Corporal during the Civil War.

The family seems to have spread to CO, NM, FL, and TX. This family has been my “brick wall”! I appreciate any clues and information you can share with me.
