I have Ferguson's in my family. They are listed in the Mississippi censuses for Calhoun and Yalobusha County. However, I have seen Fergusons on the Cherokee Rolls. The Cherokee Rolls include NC, GA, TN. It is said in genealogy when your ancestors just drop off of the census and you cant find any record anywhere ele, look to the Indian rolls. Perhaps, if you havent already done so you might check the Cherokee, Choctaw and Creek rolls and censuses.
