That marriage record abstract is found in DIOCESE OF BATON ROUGE CATHOLIC CHURCH RECORDS, Vol 6, p 70 (BIRAULT) & p 195 (DELOGNY), as follows:

St. Maurice Victor Vincent BIRAULT, son of Charles Birault and Caroline des ABOYE, married 30 Sep 1847 at St Michael Church in Convent to Eugenie Robin DELOGNY, minor daughter of Edouard Delogny and Caroline TRUDEAU. Wit: George Mather, Charles Mather, Octave Colomb, John L David, Robert Delogni, Victorin Roman, Jos. Mathers, A Mauleur. (SMI-7,241).

I noted baptisms of 4 children abstracted in later volumes. In a couple of them, St. Maurice is noted to be a lawyer and a native of New York.
