Hi Bobbie

Thankyou for your offer of help. The information on Cecil is very little. The details on the car crash has come from relatives of the other crewmembers involved in the B-17 crash, but has come from more than one.

From the relatives that i am in contact with it seems that their parents didn't talk about what happened during the War, and especially the plane crash. It is only small bits of information that has come down through the families. One of these was an address from the late 1940s of a Leota Schermerhorn, who we believe is Cecil's mother. The address was in Westminster, California. At the moment nothing has turned up from this lead either.

It is not known when Cecil married, who or even where. What is known is that he wasn't married while he was in England, only one enlisted member of the crew was.

There is a chance that none of this even happened in Louisana, but i am trying all of the southern and western States as we think it was in this area of the US.

Thankyou for your time and help.

Regards

Chris.
