I am looking for someone with an old photo collection. Specifically hoping for:
-Don Bosco's Home for Boy's (hopefully 1950's), in Alexandria
-early 1900's Rayne area
-Lecompte, Cheneyville area (mid-1950's)
In this area there was a bar on Hwy 71 near Cheneyville. A very nice researcher in Rapides Parish found an older fellow who thought the bar may have been called "Sugarland". It was across the street from a sugar mill. My Grandfather operated it (maybe part-owner). He died nearly 20 years before I was born, so this has a little more personal touch than just the usual dates, names, places and facts we deal with in family research.
Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks in advance for your time and efforts!
