My grandmothers name was Noveline Spurlock Ricahrdson Chenot, I would like very much to find out who my great grandfathers father was, as the story goes My great grandmother and great grandfather were Orphans, french and
Indian, His name was Dick Chenot and her name was Saphfrona
or Saffrona,I have seen the census becasue of the help of the nice people out there, but I wonder who my great grandfathers father was, I have found a captian of a ship that came to give provisions to the colonies and His name was M. Chenot on a french ship 1789? I truely wonder if my great grandfather was really an Orphan as the story has been passed down.. On the census it says FRONA but this was not her name spelling.. And it would be nice if anyone had any news of where the family came from.It was the time of the french and Indian wars.. Thanks Deb
