McQueen, Sarah Ann -- born in South Carolina (not Alabama)
Her husband, Levin Connella, purchased land in Pike Co., Alabama. Two adjacent tracts were purchased by a Joseph McQueen. We believe this may have been Sarah Ann's brother, possibly a twin (?).
Joseph McQueen shows up in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, which is where Sarah Ann and Levin moved from Alabama. On 2 DEC 1857 Joseph McQueen of Ouachita Parish, LA, deeded his interest a tract of land inherited by his daughter, Eleazer McQueen, to his brother-in-law, John W. Sansom of Montgomery CO, AL (Mr. Sansom was married to Joseph's sister, Margaret Ann). Joseph apparently shows up on the 1860 census in Winn (?) Parish, Lousiana.
*IF* my Sarah Ann is indeed a sibling of Joseph A. McQueen, they descend from the following line:
1. Daniel McQueen (b. abt 1720 Scotland, d. abt 1790 Horry Co., SC)
+ Ruth Jenkins
> > 2. John McQueen (1751-1790)
> > + Rachel Lewis (d. abt Feb 1807 in SC)
> > > 3. Daniel McQueen (b. abt 1780 d. 1873 in Lowndes Co., Alabama)
> > > + Rebeckah
> > > > 4. Joseph A. McQueen (b. ca 1815)
> > > > + Martha C. McKennon
marr 30 Jan 1839 Montgomery Co., Alabama
> > > > > 5. Eleazer A. E. McQueen (daugh)
> > > > > 5. Joseph McQueen
I'd love to know more about this possible link. I am aware of Joseph having a brother, Daniel, and a sister Margaret Ann. I need to find out if there were other siblings, and if so, was Sarah Ann one of them?
