I am searching for the descendants of John W. Whitehurst & Barbara Daum. Sometimes Whitehurst is spelled w/out the e. I know they had one son: Thomas Samuel Whitehurst. I don't know how many others.
Most of Thomas Samuel Whitehurst & Mary Curtis kids are dead. (There were 8 that I know of) My grandmother was one of these. If they are alive they would be in their 80s.
Most of them are probaly in the TX / LA / AR area. My grandmother was born in Carthage, TX. Her father, Thomas Samuel was born in McKinney TX and was buried in Caddo Parish, LA.
One of Thomas Samuel's kids moved to Washington state sometime in the 1950/60s. My father remembers that his uncle Boddi (This was what my dad and his sisters use to call him) moved from LA when he was little. My father said both his family and his uncle's lived on a farm and his uncle was the 'overseer'.
I would really be interested in meeting anyone from this side of the family. Thanks Stephanie Malloy Short
