My gg grandmother was Elizabeth Day/Dey Butler b. 1807 likely in either SC or MS; d. Before 1857 in Bossier Parish, LA.
She married William Bates b. 1792 in Barnwell, SC; d. 1844 in Bossier Parish, LA. They were maried in 1825 in Amite Co. MS.
Elizabeth married Dempsey McMullen after William's death. I have also seen Elizabeth's name listed as Sarah Elizabeth Butler. Who were her parents?
I would like information on the Butler family. I will gladly share what I have.
