French documentation - 1764 Nouvelle Orleans

I have a document dated during the French Colonial period of Louisiana. It's for a relative of mine (Claude Joseph Grossourd (sp?) and appears to be a discharge paper from "Compagnies detachees du Regiment Suisse Dhallwyt (sp?) de la Marine. I assume this relative was in a Swiss unit supporting the French garrison of Louisiana.

I can't find either this Surname or this unit and their origin anywhere. Is there anyone with knowledge of either this unit or this surname? I think this surname became Gros in Louisiana, but have no way to determine that either.

thanks
