Do you know where SOLOMAN (Solomon) CARTER and family was living and can be found on the 1840 & 1850 Census?
Have reason to believe there might have been another daughter. My 2nd Great Grandmother was LEVISA "Vicey" CARTER, b. abt. 1833. On the 1860 Census for Rapides Parish LA., taken on the 20th day of June, pg 39, H-H 277-275
ROBERT PERKINS Family. In this household is a ELVIRA CARTER age 21. We know that the ELVIRA CARTER daughter of SOLOMON CARTER was 21 in June and would have been 22 in December 1860. I would say that the odds of there being 2 ELVIRA CARTERS age 21 in Rapides Parish in 1860 are out of sight. These odds get higher when she is living a home where the mothers maiden name was CARTER. If we can find the SOLOMOM CARTER family posted on the 1840 Census, we can determine the ages brackets of the children. Our research shows that JOB CARTER was the father of SOLOMOM (Soloman) CARTER.
