Hi Jerrie. You've got some pretty specific dates listed. Where did you get your information? I checked census records for you. I found this interesting family: 1860 Sabine County, LA, Page 350. 31 Aug 1860. Dwelling 691/Family 691 Anna Cloud, 80, female, $500 personal property, b LA John Anders, 15, farm laborer, b LA James Anders, 13, b LA I did not find a single adult male named John Anders in the index for the 1850 census in LA (or 1860). I also checked the LA marriages db. It listed only this marriage of a Cloud: Mary Ann Cloud married John Dickerson on 10 Mar 1845 in Ouachita Parish. There were no records for a marriage of a man named Anders. I think you may have information from several generations mixed up. Are you positive that a John Anders married an Annie Cloud and that these are the parents of the child you know you are descended from? You probably need to start from the ancestor you are sure of and work your way back. Try to find death certificates or probate records. Those usually indicate the names of the deceased's parents or other family members. Look for church baptismal records or birth records. Definitely try to find your family in the censuses. Good luck!
