Hi Steven.

There is not a Joseph Johnson listed in the index for either the 1850 or 1860 censuses in Bossier Parish. This means that he was likely not the head of household. Have you found him in later censuses? Have you been able to figure out when he died? His death certificate may give the names of his parents.
