CICIO/RODOSTA

Searching for leads to the ancestors of Antonio RODOSTA who first appears in the 1910 census in White Castle, Iberville Parish, LA.

Family lore relates that he was originally Antonio CICIO. A family crisis of some type caused him to change his surname to RODOSTA. At least one of his children (Jake) carried the middle name CICIO. The 1910 census also shows that Jake was born in Milwaukee, WI. Early researchers thought that this was a census error. His obituary shows however, that he was a native of Milwaukee. All of the other children - 12 in all - were natives of Louisiana.

Antonio revealed in 1910 that he came to the US from Italy between 1900 and 1902. He was married in 1902 to Ursula CALACAINO in Louisiana. Ursula was born in Louisiana, but her parents were born in Italy.

I would like to exchange info with anyone having a genealogical interest in this family.

Thanks - Jack
