I am a descendant of Joseph Casbergue, born c. 1807, died 13 December, 1867 in New Orleans. His father was Jean Louis/Luis Casbergue. His mother was probably Angela/Angelica/Anna Maria LaFontaine, though it could have Arsene Sanche(z). Justin Casbergue, Sr. was his brother, probably half-brother. Joseph had three children with Marie Langlois of Pointe Coupee; Josephine Leonida (my gggggrandmother), Marie Amanda, and Julie Florellia Casbergue, all born in the 1830's. Amanda and Julie married into the Meilleur family (brothers). Josephine Leonida married Raymond/Ramon Trevigne and had at least 5 children, including my ggggrandmother.
