Joseph & Jane McConnell

I am looking for Joseph & Jane CARSON McCONNELL and their children who arrived in Alexandria, VA in 1820 from Ireland. The children's names are Richard, Ann, William, James, Isabella, George, Jane, Agify (?), and Elizabeth, and they ranged in age from 17 to 1 in 1820. I am trying to find out where this family went to from Alexandria. The only members that I can find are Jane (the daughter) who married Henry C. WALSH, probably in Tennessee, about 1833. They moved to East Baton Rouge, LA sometime after that, and Elizabeth, who married Silas CONDIT in Carroll, Mississippi in 1849. Elizabeth and Silas later moved to New Orleans. Except for these and a couple other small items it seems as if the family dropped off the planet in 1820! Other family names associated with this McConnell family are AYRES (Isabella married an Ayres--possibly Angus Wilkinson AYRES and possibly in Mississippi), LAWRASON, and McMAIN. I am hoping someone will recognize this family and can give me a hint for possible connections or locations to search in. Thanks!
