Allene, there are several sources that are available to you: this web site has over 10,000 names of LA Civil War Soldiers and tells where they are buried. this is a very useful site for any type of genealogy research. Click on "Map", then click on the state of LA, next step is to click on "Louisiana GenWeb Statewide Queries", then proceed to "Louisiana Civil War Query Forum". You can post a query concerning your ancestor(s).

There is compilation of LA Civil War Soldiers in the volumes entitled "Record of LA Confederate Soldiers and LA Confederate Commands" which was compiled by Andrew B. Booth. Your local libary may have it or you can request your library get through an interloan program.

Good luck in your search.
